Introduction

China Resources Semiconductor (CRS) is a core business unit of China Resources Logic which is a Hong Kong listed company and the high-tech flagship of China Resources (Holdings) Co.,Ltd.. CRS is a complex enterprise,including facilitates for Wafer Fabrication,Product Design & Development,Marketing,Testing and Packaging. CRS has focused on semiconductor business for over 20 years and is one of the largest semiconductor manufacturers in HONG KONG.

The standard processes used are Al-Gate CMOS, Si-Gate CMOS, Bipolar and Bi-CMOS with up to 1.2um technology and 30,000 PCS 4 inches wafers monthly production.

The main products of CRS are consumer ICs in area such as Watch & Clock , Voice synthesizers, melody ICs, Sound generators, LED drivers, Calculators, Telecommunication ICs, Encoder/Decoder , Single chip microcomputer, Transistors,and Regulators,photo-devices, etc.. CRS also owns gate array and standard cell technology for semicustom or full-custom applications. They find application in digital measuring equipment, telecommunications and control systems. In addition to manufacturing its own products, CRS also provides an excellent Wafer Foundry service to customers.

In order to extend its business, CRS has set up offices in Shenzhen and Shanghai in China and established the joint-ventures - Shenzhen Kope Microelectronics Co.,Ltd. and Ningbo Koyong Electronics Co.,Ltd. who could undertake COB manufacturing and Module processing. Meanwhile CRS has invested in Moscow, Russia to establish a Wafer Processing Line with 0.8um process technology and has put into production in 1998 with capacity of 12,000 PCS 6 inch wafers monthly.
